First Federal Lakewood celebrated its 85th year of service to Northeast Ohio by going back to its roots, figuratively. To commemorate the milestone, the community-owned bank tapped A.M. Design Group to craft a new logo symbolizing its growth and continuing service to the area while honoring its history.
Knowing it was critical to retain the reputation and recognition equity inherent in FFL’s existing logo in any new alternative, A.M. Design presented a logo that refreshed rather than replaced the bank’s iconic tree image, long a symbol of FFL’s strength. So, while the “new” tree was designed with contemporary appeal, it remained grounded in its preceding rendition. The enterprise name – adjacent to the tree logo – was freshened with a clean, easy-to-read typeface.
